Heard Mr. B Zaman, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. AK Dutta, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. R Dhar, learned counsel for the respondent no. 6 and Mr. R Bora, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

2. The petitioner herein has filed the present petition for the non-compliance of the judgment and order dated 28.02.2022 passed in WP(C)/1472/2020.

3. Mr. R Dhar, learned counsel has produced a copy of the letter No. Pen-3/T-15/A041801/2022/ 3671 dated 23.08.2022 issued to the Treasury Officer, Darrang,

Mangaldoi by the Sr. Accounts Officer, office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E) Assam, which states that an amount of Rs. 2,53,569/- has been incorporated in GPO No.31223946117 issued in favour of the petitioner and that the same may be released to the petitioner.

4. In view of the aforesaid letter dated 23.08.2022 issued by the office of the Accountant General (A&E) Assam, which is made a part of the record and marked as Annexure ‘X”, this Court finds that the order dated 28.02.2022 passed in WP(C)/1472/2020 has been complied with.

5. It is, therefore, expected that the Treasury Officer, Darrang, Mangaldoi shall release the said amount mentioned in the letter dated 23.08.2022 at the earliest to the petitioner.

6. The contempt petition is accordingly closed.
