This is an application seeking impleadment of party respondents.

¶17

Shri D. Gogoi, learned counsel for the applicant / writ petitioner submits that the subject matter of the writ petition is with regard to the termination of the applicant who was Librarian in a B.Ed College.

It is accordingly submitted that the Commissioner and Secretary, to the Govt. of Assam, Elementary Education Department and the Director, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam are necessary parties as a B.Ed College is under the SCERT and these two entities were inadvertently left out in the array of parties in the writ petition.

After hearing the parties, this Court is of the opinion that the instant application deserves to be allowed.

Accordingly, the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Elementary Education Department and the Director of State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam are impleaded as respondent nos. 7 & 8, respectively.

Since both the newly impleaded respondents have their Standing Counsel, Shri Gogoi, the learned counsel for the applicant / writ petitioner would serve extra copies of the writ petition upon the Standing Counsel during the course of the day.

Accordingly, the Interlocutory Application stands disposed of.
