Anupan Choudhury Vs the State of Assam

The petitioner is alleged to be involved in forging the signature of the Chief Minister of Assam for procuring the work orders of PHE Department in favour a firm name Luhit Construction, Demow, Sivasagar.

Today I have again gone through the case diary. It appears from the case dairy that the petitioner is the master mind behind all these. On the last occasion also, the anticipatory bail application of the petitioner was rejected on the basis of the materials available in the case diary.

The petitioner has not shown any fresh ground for consideration his pre-arrest bail prayer. Till today, he is on the run and has not co-operated with the police investigation.

This Court is of the opinion that custodial detention of the petitioner is necessary in the interest of investigation.

For these reasons, the second bail petition of the petitioner is not found to be satisfactory and stands rejected accordingly.

The case diary shall be returned.
