Heard Mr. A. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. S. Bhuyan, learned counsel for the respondents No.1 and 2, Mr. S.R. Barua, learned counsel for the respondent No.4 and Mr. B. Gogoi, learned counsel for the respondent No.3

Considering the nature of the order proposed to be passed, we deem that notice need not be issued to the respondent No.5 being the Principal and Secretary, Baosi Banikanta Kakati College, Nagaon, Barpeta for the present.

In response to an advertisement No. DHE/CE/Misc/113/2020/15 dated 17.10.2020 issued by the Principal of Baosi Banikanta Kakati College in the district Barpeta amongst others for the post of Assistant Professor in the department of Political Science, the petitioner offered his candidature and also participated in the resultant selection process conducted by the respondent College.

A limited prayer is insisted by Mr. A. Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner while moving the present writ petition to the extent that the petitioner would be content if his result of the participation in the selection process is made known to him.

Considering the limited prayer, we deem it appropriate that instead of issuing notice, including the respondent No.5, interest of justice will be met if a direction is issued to the Director of Higher Education, Assam to obtain the result of the participation of the petitioner in the selection process conducted by the authorities of Baosi Banikanta Kakati College as per the advertisement dated 17.10.2020 for the post Assistant Professor in Political Science and after obtaining the information, the petitioner be provided the information as regards the result of his participation.

The requirement of providing the information be done by the Director within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of the order.

Writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
