Heard Mr. S. Barman, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. K. Gogoi, learned Standing Counsel, Higher Education for the respondent No.1.

Matter pertains to non-compliance of the order dated 06.12.2019 passed in WP(C) No. 769/2019.

Mr. K. Gogoi, learned Standing Counsel, Higher Education during the deliberation of the matter placed before the Court that the concerned DPC in its meeting held on 10.09.2020 considered the case of the petitioner in terms of the order dated 06.12.2029 passed in WP(C) No. 769/2019 pertaining to promotion from the post of Foreman to the post of Lecturer in Polytechnics of Assam and finding that the petitioner does not fulfil the relevant norms for his promotion to the post of Lecturer in Polytechnics as he possesses 2^nd Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, rejected his case for such promotion to the post of Lecturer.

As the respondents have already complied with the order dated 06.12.2019 passed in WP(C) No. 769/2019, nothing survives in this contempt petition. Accordingly, this contempt petition stands dismissed.

The notice of contempt issued earlier on 11.12.2020 is hereby recalled.
