Heard Shri S Koyang, learned counsel for the applicant, Shri Reddy Bei, who has filed this anticipatory bail application under Section 438 CrPC praying for pre-arrest bail in connection with SIC Vigilance PS Case No.02/2019 under Sections 409/420/467/468/471/ 120(B) of the IPC, read with Sections 13 (1) (a) & 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

At the outset, Shri Koyang, learned counsel has submitted that in terms of the interim order dated 23.02.202, the petitioner has appeared before the IO and his statements have also been recorded. He further submits that the petitioner is rendering full cooperation.

The Case Diary, which was called for, has been obtained and Shri O Pada, learned Special Public Prosecutor, AP has produced the same before this Court.

Shri Pada, however, submits that the interrogation of the petitioner is necessary to establish the money trail as huge amount of public money is involved. He further submits that there are allegations against the petitioner of misuse of his office as a Range Forest Officer.

After perusal of the Case Diary and on hearing the parties and also considering the health condition of the petitioner, as revealed by the prescription annexed to this petition, this Court is of the opinion that the interim protection granted on 23.02.2021 be made absolute with the same conditions as laid down in the aforesaid order.

It is, however, directed that the petitioner shall continue to render full cooperation to the investigation and not to indulge in any activities detrimental to the same.

Anticipatory bail application stands disposed of.
