This is an application made under Section 438 Cr.P.C ., seeking pre-arrest bail by the petitioner, namely, Sri Krishna Chetry, apprehending arrest in connection with Udalguri Police Station Case No. 08 of 2021 , registered under Sections 13/14 of the Assam Game and Betting Act .
Heard Mr. S. Munir, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner as well as Ms. S.H. Bora, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the State of Assam. The case diary produced, has been perused.
On perusal of the case diary it does not appear to this Court that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary. On the other hand, the petitioner is availing interim protection, granted by this Court; vide order, dated 27-01-2021. He has cooperated with the investigation of the case.
