Mr. Nihar Ranjan Bala, Regional Manager, United India Insurance Company Limited, representing the respondent No.1/Insurance Company along with other officials from the Insurance Company, are present.
Both the parties are heard and the matter is settled at a sum of Rs.4,13,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Thirteen Thousands only), in addition to earlier amount Rs.6,65,000/- (stated to be already paid to the claimant). The aforesaid settlement amount shall be payable within a period of 6(six) weeks from today by the Insurance Company. Insurance Company shall deposit the said amount before the learned MACT(III), Kamrup (M), Guwahati. Thereafter, claimant will be entitled to withdraw the amount, on due identification.
Hence, the matter is settled today.
The appeal stands disposed of.
Let the LCR be returned forthwith.
