The order of this Court passed in WP(C) No.6831/2018 on 04.12.2018 was to consider
the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the higher post along with other eligible candidates against any existing vacancy.

It has been submitted by Mr. Bhattacharjee that some consideration has been made. However, as there is no vacancy available to the post of Senior Assistant, no further action to be taken. The said submission has been made on the strength of written instruction received from the Director of Elementary Education, Assam, dated 27.01.2020.
If that is so, this Court is of the view that nothing survives for further consideration. Accordingly, the petition is closed.
