Heard Shri AA Mondal, learned counsel for the petitioners, who have filed this petition alleging willful disobedience of an order dated 20.12.2019, passed by this Court in WP(C) No.9240/2019.

Ms. A Verma, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no. 1 has submitted that an affidavit-in-opposition has been filed on 01.10.2020 with which the speaking order passed in compliance of the order of this Court dated 20.12.2019 has also been annexed. The copy of the said affidavit has also been served upon the learned counsel for the petitioners.

Though the said affidavit is not on record, a copy of the same has been placed before the Court. The order dated 24.08.2020 passed by the Deputy Commissioner, Morigaon appears to be in compliance with the order of this Court dated 20.12.2019. In view of the same, this Court is of the opinion that the present proceeding need not be carried on any further.

Accordingly, the same is closed.

Petitioner is, however, at liberty to challenge the said order passed by the Deputy Commissioner, Morigaon, if so advised.
