Officer has revealed about the investigation that has been carried out by them that on verification of the address given by the accused-petitioner, his shop was found closed and even the petitioner did not respond to the Notice served upon them to appear before the Investigating Officer. It is alleged that he is the main supplier of the articles and is avoiding appearance before the Investigating Officer. The Investigating Officer has also communicated with the Drugs Controller, Assam for providing permanent address of the present petitioner and on verification of the address of the accused Subash Chandra Roy as provided by the Drugs Controller, Assam, it was again found that the rent agreement stated to have entered into with one Prafulla Kumar Das in the year 2016, was not in existence and they have denied any such renewal of tenancy agreement with the present petitioner. Thereafter, accused also fled away from the tenanted premises after the seizure of the articles. After such thorough investigation the Investigating Officer has filed a complaint petition and offence report was submitted showing the accused-petitioner as absconder.
