Heard Ms. M Medhi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. K Phukan, learned counsel for respondent No.1. Also heard Ms. D Das Barman, learned counsel for respondent No.2.
Writ Court by order dated 19.11.2018, passed in WP(C) No.3949/2017 had directed that case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment to be placed before the District Level Committee (DLC), Cachar for reconsideration.
Alleging deliberate non-compliance, this contempt petition has been filed.
Today when the matter is called upon, learned counsel for respondents submit that case of the petitioner was placed before the DLC in its meeting held on 09.07.2019. DLC considered the case of the petitioner and recommended his name to the State Level Committee (SLC) for appointment in any Grade-IV post as per vacancy position indicated by the Executive Engineer, PWD, Rural Road Division, Silchar.
In the light of the above, Court is of the view that order of the writ court has been complied with.
Contempt petition is accordingly closed.
