Heard Ms. P. Borthakur, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

This is an application for stay of the operation of the judgment and order impugned in the connected appeal.

As the connected appeal has been admitted for hearing, this Court is inclined to stay the operation of the impugned judgment and award dated 17.12.2012, passed by the learned Commissioner, Employees’ Compensation, Golaghat in W.C. Case No. 37/2011 subject to condition that the appellant shall deposit 50% of the awarded sum before the Registry of this Court within a period of four weeks from today.

It is made clear that if such deposit is not made within the time allowed, this order shall not be a bar for enforcement of the award.

With the aforesaid direction, this IA stands allowed.
