Heard Mr. D. Pegu, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. A. Dutta, learned counsel for the opposite party herein.
On instructions the learned counsel for the applicant does not press this application on the ground that notwithstanding this application, this Court in MC 3314/13 directed the opposite party herein to deposit a sum of Rs.1,75,000/- (Rupees One lakh seventy-five thousand only) before the Commissioner, Workmen’s Compensation, Guwahati. As the compromise did not take place at the relevant time, the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing the matter.
The learned counsel for the opposite party submits that he has nothing to say in the matter if the petitioner is not interested to compromise. So accordingly, the petition stands dismissed on withdrawal.
