Heard Mr. S. Newar, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. A. Deka, learned counsel for the respondent contemnor No.2 as well as Mr. J.C. Gogoi, learned counsel for the respondent No.3.
The direction of this Court in its order dated 11.12.2017 in WP(C) No.7707/2017 was that the order dated 27.11.2017 as well as the release order dated 01.12.2017 shall remain suspended. By the order dated 27.11.2017, the petitioner was required to go on a compulsory retirement.
This contempt petition was preferred on the premises that in spite of such interim order, the petitioner was not allowed to resume his duty as an Associate Professor in the department of English of Jengaimukh College. It is stated that during the pendency of the petition, the petitioner has been allowed to resume his duty. Accordingly, no further adjudication is required in this matter.
Contempt petition stands closed.
