Heard the learned counsel for the applicant on the application for release of amount.
Learned counsel for the applicant contends that the applicant had deposited total a sum of Rs. 41.51 lacs towards predeposit for maintaining the appeal. It is further contended that the appeal has been disposed off vide order dated 12.02.2024 as having become infructuous. It is therefore, prayed that the amount deposited by the applicant may be released in favour of the applicant.
In view of the above, the application for release of amount is allowed and the aforesaid amount along with interest accrued thereupon is directed to be released in favour of the applicant within fortnight from today, if there is no other legal impediment for the same.
