THE APPELLATE TRIBUNAL :
Ms. Aruna Ghosh, Learned Counsel, appears for Respondents No. 1 and 2. It appears that in compliance of the order dated 22nd August, 2023 a Competent Officer of the Bank has not appeared.
This appeal is pending since 2018 which is filed against an interlocutory order. It appears that due to pendency of the appeal neither the O.A. nor the S.A. are proceeding.
Initially appeal was filed against United Bank of India which got merged with the Punjab National Bank. Learned Counsel has put in appearance in the year 2018 for the United Bank of India thereafter United Bank of India got merged with the Punjab National Bank under Notification of Government of India. But till date no opposition is filed which shows slackness on the part of the Bank and the

Respondents No. 1 and 2. Despite order dated 22nd August, 2023 opposition is not filed.
Today Counsel for Respondents No. 1 and 2 prays for and is granted one week’s time to file opposition with copy to the Appellant who may file rejoinder, if any, within a week thereafter.
Since Learned Counsel has put in her appearance for Respondents No. 1 and 2, presence of the Competent Officer of the Bank is dispensed with.
