Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits, that in an FIR that was registered on 16.07.2016, charge-sheet was filed on 13.03.2019 citing 20 prosecution witnesses, but charges are yet to be framed.

Counsel submits, that the case requires to be considered and decided expeditiously.

Mr. Sanjeev Bhandari, learned ASC appears for the State on advance copy; accepts notice; and considering the situation obtaining in the matter, does not oppose the prayer made.

In view of the prayer made, it is not considered necessary to await service of notice upon respondents Nos. 2 to 4 (accused persons).

The petition is accordingly disposed-of, with a direction to the learned trial court to complete the trial in the matter expeditiously , and preferably within 01 year of the next date of hearing before that court, which is stated to be 11.03.2026.
