The punishment tickets are under challenge.

By way of the punishment tickets, the petitioners have been punished for the stoppage of Mulakat for 30 days. The same is considered to be a major punishment and the applicable procedure has to be followed.

Inadvertently, the said procedure has not been followed and, therefore, the respective punishment tickets will have to be set aside. Accordingly, the punishment tickets, which are the subject matters of the petitions stand set aside.

The respondents are granted liberty to take a fresh decision in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.

Petitions stand disposed of.
