By the way of the present petition the petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR No. 22/2013 , registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 468 and 471 Indian Penal Code,1860 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘IPC’ ), the chargesheet dated 19.10.013 and all consequential criminal proceedings emanating therefrom in CR. Case No. 287360/2016 (CR. Case 8/2/C/2015) titled ‘State v. William George’ on the basis of the settlement arrived at between the parties.

5. Brief facts are the dispute between the Petitioner and Respondent No. 2 arose out of an employment/engagement-related issue concerning the appointment of the Petitioner as Pastor. The dispute is private in nature, and the parties have amicably resolved all their disputes and differences.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise, vide Memorandum of Understanding/Settlement Agreement dated 05.05.2026 , out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Accordingly, FIR No. 22/2013, registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 468 and 471 of the IPC, 1860, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed.

The present petition is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, also stand(s) disposed of.
