Mr. Sarthak Maggon, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits, that pursuant to what was observed in order dated 31.12.2025, the jail authorities have considered the writ petition as a representation for grant of parole; and have granted to the petitioner parole for a period of 04 weeks; and to that extent the present petition has been rendered infructuous.

A copy of the parole order dated 06.01.2026 has been handed-up in court. The same is taken on record.

That being said, Mr. Maggon points-out, that one of the conditions imposed for grant of parole is for the petitioner to furnish 01 surety in the sum of Rs.4,000/-, alongwith a personal bond in the like amount, to the satisfaction of the jail superintendent.

Mr. Maggon submits, that in view of the petitioner’s circumstances, the surety of Rs.10,000/- furnished by his father towards the furlough, which he had last availed, be treated as surety towards the parole granted by the jail authorities as well.

In view of the nature of the prayer made, it is not considered necessary to delve any further into the matter.

Accordingly, it is directed that condition (1) of the parole order dated 06.01.2026 shall be read to say that “ The surety furnished by the petitioner’s father in the sum of Rs.10,000/- towards furlough granted to the petitioner earlier, shall be treated as surety for purposes of the parole granted by this order .”

All other conditions of parole shall remain as-they-are.

The petition is disposed-of in the above terms.
