This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking direction to respondent no.1 to produce the wife of the petitioner, namely Uzma, who was alleged to be under wrongful confinement of respondent nos. 3 to 7 and for protecting the life of the petitioner and his wife.

On 10.11.2025, Ms. Uzma had appeared before this Court and expressed her desire to stay with the petitioner. As she was a major, it was stated that it would be her choice to stay with the petitioner. However, as there were certain apprehensions raised, this Court directed that a woman Sub-Inspector (W/SI) of Police Station Karol

Bagh would be in regular touch with Ms. Uzma in the interregnum.

On 27.01.2026, we had again interacted with the girl and the petitioner and the girl again expressed her desire to stay with the petitioner. However, as again certain apprehensions were raised, we did not close the petition but instead asked the concerned SHO of Police Station to visit the house of the petitioner to enquire about the well-being of the girl.

Today, Ms. Uzma has again appeared before this Court and again expressed her desire to stay with the petitioner. She states that now all issues have been sorted out between herself and the petitioner. 5. In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition, and the same is disposed of.
