The present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking issuance of a direction in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the brother of the petitioner, namely Mr. Jay, who is stated to have been taken away by two persons claiming themselves to be police officials of the Uttar Pradesh Police.

A copy of the Status Report dated 14.10.2025 has been handed over to us by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent nos. 2
