By virtue of the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner seeks issuance of Writ in the nature of Mandamus for releasing the petitioner on parole for a period of four weeks in FIR No.72/2011 registered at PS: Vivek Vihar under Sections 302/392/397/411/20B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

Learned ASC, at the outset, has handed over a copy of a decision dated 25.06.2026 disallowing the petitioner’s earlier application dated 13.06.2026 seeking parole by the competent authority, a copy whereof has

been handed over, and is taken on record.

Be that as it may, since the petitioner is now eligible for grant of parole after the lapse of six months in terms of Rule 1210(v) of the Delhi Prison Rules, learned ASC, upon instructions, submits that the present petition shall be treated as a fresh representation for grant of parole to the petitioner in the next SCRB, and shall be considered accordingly. He also submits that the same shall be decided by the SCRB as expeditiously as possible.

In view of the aforesaid, since learned counsel for the petitioner does not seek to press the present petition, the present petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.

A copy of this order be sent to the concerned Jail Superintendent for information and compliance forthwith .
