Constitution of India. It is stated that the petitioner no.1 is a permanent resident of Delhi, and petitioner no.2 is a resident of Jammu and Kashmir. Presently, both petitioners are residing in Delhi, petitioner No.2 having left her parental home due to threats and coercion aimed at forcibly separating her from her husband. Further, it is stated that the petitioners are facing continuous threats, intimidation, and a real and imminent apprehension of physical harm, including threats of false criminal cases, at the hands of close relatives of petitioner no. 2, including her father and step-brother, solely on account of their lawful marriage. It is stated that the petitioners have no efficacious alternative remedy and are constrained to invoke the extraordinary writ jurisdiction of this Court for protection of their fundamental rights guaranteed under Article 21.
