b) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, more particularly a writ of mandamus, directing the Respondent Nol-3not to take any coercive action on the Complaint or FIR if already registered) filed by the Respondent No. or other relatives of petitioner No.4 against the Petitioners and family members of the Petitioner No.1.

c) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, more particularly a writ of mandamus, thereby directing the Respondents not to interfere in the peaceful marital life of the Petitioners and not to cause any harm or bodily injury to the Petitioners.”

This Court has heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Additional Standing Counsel for State/respondent nos. 1 to 3. 6. In the present case, both petitioners were in consensual relationship and have solemnized their marriage/Nikah on 22.04.2026 before Quazi Sahab at Delhi, according to Muslim rites and customs out of their own free will and consent decided to marry with each other, against the wishes of respondent no. 4. Owing to continuous harassment and threats extended by respondent no. 4, the petitioners have approached this Court, since no action was taken by the concerned police authorities to protect them.

This Court notes that the petitioners have inter alia prayed for protection of themselves from the respondent no. 4 and his companions. The concerned Investigating Officer (I.O.) has verified that the petitioners are residents of Delhi. The right to life and liberty is a cherished Fundamental Right guaranteed by the Constitution of India and the instant case merits a careful indulgence of this Court for ensuring the same. 8. Keeping in view the sensitivity of the present matter and submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners, the petitioners are directed to provide their contact numbers to the concerned SHO and Beat Constable, and the concerned officers are also directed to provide the contact numbers of Beat Constable and SHO concerned to the petitioners, and provide necessary assistance as per law in case the need so arises.

In view of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioners states that he is satisfied with the above arrangement.

It is clarified that this Court is not passing any order in any of the case
