Petitioner seeks parole for a period of 30 days for conducting last rites of his mother, who is stated to have passed away.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that mother of petitioner passed away on 06.05.2026 and funeral has already been performed. But now, petitioner has to carry out certain rituals for three days from 17.05.2026 onwards.

Learned counsel on behalf of ASC accepts notice and submits that in view of status report [ Annexure-A ( colly) ], State has no serious objection to grant of parole as the petitioner has already spent more than 11 years in jail and his conduct has been satisfactory.
