Vidé order dated 20.01.2026, the petitioner was granted an interim protective order in present anticipatory bail petition. The order was subject to the petitioner joining the investigation as and when he was called by the Investigating Officer (‘I.O.’) by notice in writing. By the same order the petitioner was also directed to appear before the I.O. for investigation on 27.01.2026.

Mr. Shoaib Haider, learned APP for the State on instructions of the I.O., states that the petitioner did not join investigation on 27.01.2026. Even thereafter, the petitioner has not joined investigation despite 02 notices having been issued to the petitioner by the I.O.

Upon query, learned counsel for the petitioner submits, that though on 27.01.2026 the petitioner had gone to the I.O. for investigation as directed, the I.O. was not available in the police station at that stage; and that

subsequently on 07.02.2026 another FIR has been registered against the petitioner, for which reason that he has not appeared for investigation before the I.O.

Clearly, the explanation offered is unacceptable. Accordingly, the interim protection granted to the petitioner vidé order dated 20.01.2026 stands revoked.

In view of above, there is no justification for keeping the present anticipatory bail petition pending.

The petition is accordingly disposed-of.
