The present writ petition has been filed seeking setting aside of the revocation order dated 17^th April, 2026 passed by the respondent/MCD in terms of which the meat shop trade license of the petitioner was revoked.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the aforesaid order has been passed without issuance of any show cause notice. He further submits that no reasons have been given in the aforesaid order for the revocation of the license.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent/MCD on advance notice rebuts the aforesaid submission. He submits that a show cause notice was issued to the petitioner on 6^th August, 2025 and the same was duly received by the representative of the petitioner. He further submits that an appeal has been filed against the revocation order on 4^th June, 2026, which is pending.

Having heard the counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the respondent/MCD to decide the appeal filed by the petitioner within two (2) weeks from today.

All rights and contentions of the parties are kept open.
