This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:-

“[a] Civil Writ Petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus or any other suitable Writ, Order or Direction to the Respondents to enable the Petitioner to submit its application for Transition of its 4 Years’ Integrated B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. course to 4-years’ Integrated Teacher Education Programme; either through online mode i.e. the webportal / link or through offline mode i.e. hard copy / physical form; with consequent direction to accept, process and decide the same for the ensuing academic session, in a time bound manner;

After some arguments, Mr. Kant, learned counsel for the petitioners, has drawn my attention to an order of the Division Bench dated 16.02.2026 passed in LPA 71/2026, wherein paragraph No. 8 reads as under:-

“8. The Respondent No.1- Institution has not challenged the Public Notice dated 12.09.2025 requiring all Institutions seeking transition to apply afresh. Admittedly, the Respondent No.1- Institution did not submit its application pursuant to the Public Notice dated 12.09.2025 prior to the last date i.e. prior to 05.10.2025.”

On my query as to whether the petitioners in the present case have challenged the public notice dated 12.09.2025, he fairly states that the petitioners have not so done.

He seeks liberty to withdraw the present petition and file a fresh petition on the same cause of action, including to challenge the applicability as well as the vires of Public Notices dated 25.08.2025 and 12.09.2025.

Granting the said liberty, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

The Court has not examined the merits/ demerits of the case.
