After some arguments, Mr. Rohatgi, learned counsel for the respondentNo.2/DOE, states that the petitioner(s) was allotted admission in Pre-Nursery/Nursery in respondent No. 1 school for the academic session 2025-26. The said session has elapsed and consequently, the petitioner(s) is not entitled to admission on the basis of the said allotment.

However, Mr. Rohatgi, learned counsel for the respondent No.2/DOE, in his usual fairness, states that the respondent No. 2 shall endeavour and try to accommodate the petitioner(s) in an age appropriate class in a government aided school near the petitioner’s residence.

Additionally, he states that the second draw of lots is scheduled shortly and the petitioner(s) may also apply, without prejudice to the same and the respondent No. 2 shall endeavour to accommodate the petitioner(s) in an age appropriate class in a government aided school near the petitioner’s residence. The same shall be done expeditiously and preferably within 4 weeks from today.
