The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent-MCD to demolish the unauthorized construction raised by respondent no.3 at property No. 220, measuring 80 Sq Y ds, Block, FA. Tagore Garden, New Delhi-110027 (‘subject property’).

A status report has been handed over in Court on behalf of respondent-MCD.

2.1 The same is taken on record.

In terms of the status report, the subject property was inspected on 24^th March, 2026 and unauthorized construction in the shape of a room at the second floor and a small room at the terrace of the second floor in the subject property was noticed. Accordingly, a Show Cause Notice was issued on 24^th March, 2026. A reply to the Show Cause Notice was received. Pursuant to the personal hearing, a demolition order dated 20^th May, 2026 has been passed against the subject property.
