This order shall dispose of the above-captioned two (02) Writ Petitions, wherein identical reliefs have been sought.

For ready reference, the prayer made in W.P.(C) 6076/2026 is reproduced as under:

“ A direction to the Standing Screening Committee of the Respondent/CISF at CISF Headquarters, New Delhi to decide the correctness and antecedents of the documents produced by the Petitioner Nos. 1 & 2, showing proof in support of the fact that no case/FIR is pending against them, within two weeks, as no cases

As is evident, the only prayer made by the Petitioners is for a direction to the Standing Screening Committee („SSC‟) of the Central Industrial Security Force („CISF‟) at CISF Headquarters, New Delhi, to examine the correctness and antecedents of the documents produced by the Petitioners within a period of two (02) weeks.

The Petitioners, who have been selected as Constable (GD), cannot be made to wait endlessly on such a pretext.

¶22

Accordingly, the present Writ Petitions stand disposed of with a direction to the SSC to examine and consider the documents expeditiously within a period of six (06) weeks from today.

¶23

Further, this Court is constrained to observe that unnecessary litigation is being encouraged on account of administrative inefficiencies on the part of the Respondents, which ought to be avoided.

A photocopy of the order passed today be kept in the connected matter.
