W.P.(C) 4738/2023, CM APPL. 26854/2026 — Surender Kumar v. Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board and Ors., High Court of Delhi at New Delhi (Sanjeev Narula, J.), order dated 23.04.2026. Following the Petitioner's exoneration by the Disciplinary Authority, DUSIB, vide order dated 23rd March, 2026, counsel submitted that his Departmental Promotion Committee result, kept in a sealed cover, was liable to be opened. Counsel for DUSIB, on instructions, undertook that the sealed cover would be opened in the first fortnight of May, 2026 and the outcome communicated to the Petitioner. The undertaking was taken on record and the Respondents were declared bound by it; in the event of non-compliance the Petitioner may take recourse to appropriate remedies in accordance with law. Dr. Kamini Lau, counsel for the Petitioner, submits that in view the Petitioner’s exoneration vide order dated 23^rd March, 2026, passed by the Disciplinary Authority, DUSIB, the result of the Departmental Promotion Committee,¹ which has been kept in a sealed cover, is now liable to be opened.

Mr. Rishi Kant, counsel for the Respondents, on instructions, submits that the sealed cover shall be opened in the first fortnight of May, 2026 and the outcome thereof shall be communicated to the Petitioner.
