The petition sought quashing of a Show Cause Notice dated 22.08.2025 issued by respondent no.2 under Sections 344 and 344(1) of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957; a prior appeal to the Appellate Tribunal, MCD had been dismissed as not maintainable, with liberty to challenge the demolition/sealing order as per law. After a personal hearing on 02.01.2026 (which the petitioner attended), counsel sought an additional-response opportunity citing newly supplied documents and alleged that a proper hearing had not been granted. The Court, expressly without deciding whether the 02.01.2026 hearing was proper and without entering the merits, granted one further hearing on 28.01.2026 at 03:00 PM with liberty to file an additional response on or before that date; petitioner's counsel assured that no adjournment would be sought. The present writ petition has been filed seeking quashing of the Show Cause Notice dated 22^nd August, 2025 issued by the respondent no.2, under Sections 344 and 344(1) of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957.

Earlier, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the Appellate Tribunal, MCD against the said notice, which was dismissed as not maintainable. Liberty was given to the petitioner to challenge the demolition/sealing order as per law.

Pursuant to the said Show Cause Notice, personal hearing was given to the petitioner on 2^nd January, 2026, on which date the petitioner appeared. 4. Counsel for the petitioner submits that certain additional documents have been supplied to him by the respondents, in respect of which he seeks to file an additional response.
