Delhi High Court (Sanjeev Narula, J.), by order dated 14.08.2025 in TR.P.(CRL.) 59/2025, disposed of a transfer petition instituted pursuant to the Registrar General's order dated 12.08.2025, which was passed on a request by the Principal District and Sessions Judge (Central), Delhi after the Special Judge, NDPS-02, Central District, Tis Hazari Courts recused himself on the ground that his Court is not the Designated Court for scheduled offences under the National Investigative Agency Act. Acting in view of the minutes dated 15.04.2019 of the Administrative and General Supervision Committee (as quoted in the Registrar General's order dated 05.08.2025), the Court transferred SC No. 24/2018, State v. Imran Khan @ Armaan & Anr., to the Court of competent jurisdiction at Patiala House Courts, New Delhi dealing with NIA Act cases, and directed the parties to appear before the Transferee Court on 30.08.2025.

The present petition for transfer of SC No. 24/2018 titled State v. Imran Khan @ Armaan & Anr. has been instituted pursuant to the order passed by Registrar General of this Court dated 12^th August, 2025. The said order was passed in view of a request made by the Principal District and Sessions Judge (Central), Delhi noting that Mr. Virender Singh, Special Judge, NDPS-02, Central District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi, has recused himself from hearing the matter stating that since his Court is not the Designated Court to deal with scheduled offences under the provisions of National Investigative Agency Act, the case is required to be transferred to the Court of Competent jurisdiction for adjudication.
