By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR bearing no. 385/2015, registered at Police Station Shahbad Dairy, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 363/366 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter ‘IPC’ ) and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

victim/respondent no. 1 went to appear in her 12^th class school examination but she did not return back as she had eloped with the petitioner herein. On the same day when respondent no. 1 did not return home, her mother/respondent no. 2 lodged a complaint and the present FIR bearing no. 385/2015 was registered. Thereafter, on 06.10.2015 respondent no. 2 had informed the IO concerned, that she had procured/obtained her daughter/victim and found out that she had married with the petitioner herein and was residing with him.

It is now stated by the learned counsel for petitioner that the parties have been blessed with two children and are happily living with each other. Therefore, the FIR bearing no. 385/2015 be quashed. 7. The concerned Joint Registrar (Judicial) has already recorded the statements of the parties on 08.05.2025 regarding the agreement entered into, voluntarily between the parties and vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 18.12.2024.

Considering the same, the parties are present in person before this Court and have been identified by their counsels and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned.

The complainant who is present before this Court states that she has no objection, if the FIR is quashed.

In view of the above facts that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will and without any coercion and have been living happily with each other, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings

pursuant thereto. Moreover, there is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 385/2015, registered at Police Station Shahbad Dairy, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 363/366 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

In view of above, the present petition stands disposed of.
