The instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed on behalf of the petitioner for seeking the following reliefs:

“a) Allow the present Writ Petition and direct the Respondent No.1, Land Acquisition Collector, District South Delhi to release the compensation amount for Khasra No.191 situated at Okhla Village, and also enhance the compensation considering all the civic amenities & facilities i.e. roads, School, hospitals etc. were available in the close vicinity of the acquired land, at the earliest, in the interest of justice.

After some length of arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, does not wish to press the instant writ petition and seeks an innocuous prayer that either the instant petition may be treated as representation or he may be allowed to file a fresh application/representation before the competent authority and the said authority may be directed to decide the application dated 21^st January, 2021 for the release of the compensation amount. The said application is appended as Annexure P-3 to the instant petition. It is further prayed that he may be granted liberty to file appropriate representation/application before the concerned authority within two weeks for expeditious disposal of his case.

None appeared on behalf of the respondents on advance notice.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the material placed on record.

In view of the innocuous prayer made on behalf of the petitioner, learned counsel for the petitioner is granted liberty as prayed for with the direction to file an appropriate representation/application along with the copy of this order before the Land Acquisition Collector, DM Office Road, National Park, Old Gargi College Building, Lajpat Nagar-4, New Delhi110024, within two weeks.
