The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to extend the license period of the petitioner, in terms of the various orders passed by this Court on previous occasions.

It is submitted that the petitioner has been running and operating General Minor Unit near Water Pillar No. 17 towards Delhi End, at Platform 6/7 at Kanpur Railway Station . 3. It is submitted that the petitioner was granted License for the unit in question on 27^th August, 2020, and the period of License will expire on 31^st

It is pointed out that no benefit of ‘ dies non’ period, or any other extension has been granted to the petitioner.

It is submitted that the petitioner is seeking only a limited prayer before this Court, for granting time to the petitioner for vacating the unit in question, within a period of seven months, in terms of the previous orders passed by this Court.

Issue notice. Notice is accepted by learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the Court may pass order, in terms of the previous orders and in accordance with law.

This Court notes that vide order dated 08^th May, 2025, in W.P.(C) 6101/2025 titled as “Krishna Caters Versus Union of India & Ors” , and in various other matters, this Court has already granted extension of seven months to various parties, for the purpose of vacating the units operated by them.

Accordingly, considering the fact that similar orders have been passed on previous occasions by this Court, thereby, granting an extension of time for running the stall, this Court is of the view that in parity with the orders passed earlier by this Court, a similar order ought to be passed in the present case also. This Court sees no reason to take a different view from the orders passed earlier.

Accordingly, it is directed that, subject to payment of the license fees, the petitioner will be allowed to operate the General Minor Unit near Water Pillar No. 17 towards Delhi End, at Platform 6/7 at Kanpur Railway Station , for a period of 7 months, from 31^st August, 2025, at the stipulated

The petitioner is directed to file an undertaking, on an affidavit, before this Court, within a period of four weeks from today, that the petitioner shall vacate the unit in question, on expiry of the extended period of 7 months, failing which, the respondents will be at liberty to remove the goods of the petitioner, from the unit in question.

It is further made clear that extension of the license period of the petitioner will not preclude the Railways from inviting fresh tenders, for awarding of a License, on expiry of the extended period of License of the petitioner.

Accordingly, the present writ petition, along with the pending applications, stands disposed of.
