The present Petition under Section 29A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitrator by 3 months from today.

Learned counsel appearing on advance notice on behalf of the respondent submits that he has no objection if the present petition is allowed, but he objects the authority of the person who has filed the present

Considering the submissions made, without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitrator is hereby extended by 3 months from today. The period from 30.09.2024 till today stands regularized.

The respondent is at liberty to agitate its contention before the appropriate forum and/ or the learned Arbitrator.
