These applications have been filed seeking directions to dispose of the petition in terms of mutual settlement arrived at between parties.

During pendency of petition, with the intervention of the family members and counsels, the matter has been settled amicably between parties.

¶17

Counsel for petitioners and respondent states that an amount of Rs.3,90,000/- has already been paid to respondent, out of the total amount of Rs.9 lacs is agreed to be paid.

The balance amount of Rs.5,10,000/- is deposited with this Court and the Appellate Court. The said amounts with accrued interest be released in favour of respondent.

Directions are accordingly issued to the Registry of this Court and as well as the Appellate Court in this regard.

Original challan with respect to the deposit of these amounts before this Court and the Appellate Court be provided to counsel for the respondent within the next two days.

Petitions are disposed of based on this settlement. It is made clear that if there is any impediment in the release of the amounts to the respondent, respondent shall be at liberty to file an application before this Court. Counsel for petitioner will cooperate in the release of the said amounts which have been deposited with the Court.

Complaints which were filed under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, will stand compounded in terms of the settlement arrived at between parties for payment of Rs.9 lacs to respondent/complainant.

In view of the settlement arrived at and the directions as above, the said petitions are disposed of in all three cases.
