By way of present petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.607/2014 registered under Sections 354B/509 IPC at P.S. Delhi Cantt., on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

The present FIR is an outcome of a dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 and petitioner who is relative of complainant. 3. Learned APP for the State submits that the petitioner is the only accused and respondent No. 2 is the complainant/victim. He further submits that the chargesheet has been filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present FIR was registered due to misunderstanding and with the intervention of family members and friends, parties have amicably settled their disputes on 18.12.2023 vide Mutual Settlement/Compromise Deed. In terms of the said settlement, complainant/victim/respondent No.2 is now left with no claim or

grievance against the petitioner.

The petitioner, who is present in the Court, has been identified by the learned counsel and the Investigating Officer. Respondent No.2, who is present in Court, has also been identified by the Investigating Officer. 6. The petitioner has shown remorse for his conduct and undertakes not to repeat the same in future. Respondent No. 2 states that she has entered into the aforesaid Mutual Settlement/Compromise Deed out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is another connected FIR being FIR No.609/2014 registered under Sections 354B/323/506/34 IPC at Police Station Delhi Cantt., which has also been quashed vide CRL.M.C. 5112/2024. 8. The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed, subject to payment of cost of Rs.5,000/- to be deposited by the petitioner with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (A/c No. 18580110053263, UCO Bank, Branch: Rouse Avenue, IFSC: UCBA0003364) within a period of two weeks from today. The amount so deposited shall be utilized by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority for providing counselling/psychological support to POCSO victims requiring such assistance.

Proof evidencing receipt of deposit shall be filed with the I.O. in case proof is not filed with the I.O. within the stipulated period, the I.O. shall be at liberty to move an appropriate application.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of alongwith the pending application.

A copy of this order be communicated to the Member Secretary, Delhi State Legal Services Authority for intimation.
