No. 7893 of 2021, Gurcharan Singh & Ors. vs. State (Delhi Administration) and Raj Kumar Sharma & Ors. vs. State (Delhi Administration), (1978) 1 SCC 118, Narendra K. Amin (Dr.) vs. State of Gujarat & Anr., (2008) 13 SCC 584, Ashok Saxena & Ors. vs. State (NCT of Delhi) & Anr., (2019) 11 SCC 756 and Lachhman Das vs. Resham Chand Kaler & Anr., Lachhman Das vs. Mohinder Pal Kaler & Anr. and Lachhman Das vs. Sukhwinder Singh & Anr., (2018) 3 SCC 187 , it was inter-alia held that the interim bail cannot be extended for an indefinite period and has to be extended for a specific period.
