The learned counsel for the applicant confines his prayer only for a direction to the learned Trial Court to expeditiously decide the trial, which is at a fag end. This Court by its order dated 28.03.2024 had already directed as under:-

“List on 13^th May, 2024.

In the meantime, the learned Trial Court is requested not to grant any unwarranted adjournment to either of the parties and shall make an effort to conclude the recording of evidence.”

The learned APP points out that the trial is now listed for recording of the statement of the accused under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 on 17.05.2024.

Keeping in view the above facts and reiterating the direction
