This application has been preferred on behalf of the Petitioners to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Respondents to finalise the Recruitment Regulations for the post of Assistant Secretary-I in a time bound manner in light of the averments in the counter-affidavit and in the meantime, consider the Petitioners for promotion to the said post on ad-hoc basis under Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board Secretarial Service Regulations, 1987.

Regulations for the post of Assistant Secretary-I is concerned, Ms. Ahlawat fairly does not have any objection. However, objection is raised to the second relief for consideration of the Petitioners for promotion to the post of Assistant Secretary-I on ad-hoc basis.

Mr. Shanker Raju, learned counsel for the Petitioners, on instructions, submits that without prejudice to the second relief in the application, this writ petition be disposed of with a direction to the Respondents to notify the proposed Regulations for promotion to the post of Assistant Secretary-I expeditiously.

For the reasons stated in the application, the same is allowed to the extent of the first relief claimed and disposed of.

Writ petition is disposed of in light of the averments in the counteraffidavit that proposed Regulations for promotion to the post of Assistant Secretary-I have been framed but they are yet to be notified, with a direction that the process of approval/notification, etc. of the proposed Regulations shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and not later than 2 months from the date of receipt of this order. Petitioners will be at liberty to take recourse to legal remedies in case of any surviving/further grievance.
