Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.3 points out that Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology is an institute of higher education fully funded by the Government of NCT of Delhi and affiliated to the University of Delhi. As per the list available on the website of Government of NCT of Delhi, the jaat community is reflected at serial No. 54 in the OBC list; if a student is short-listed in the merit list belonging to the jaat community having a valid OBC certificate issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi, the said certificate is honoured. This communication has been handed over to the petitioner. Respondent No.3 is accordingly directed to consider the case of the petitioner within an outer limit of six weeks in the light of this information which has been brought today. A communication to the said effect will be effected to the petitioner.
