By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent authorities to release the unpaid salary/remuneration ( Maandey ) for the period during which he continuously rendered services from 06.09.2025 to 30.04.2026, and further seeks a direction to consider and decide his pending representations (Annexure P/8 Colly.).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, who was working as Head Master at Government Middle School, Akoli, attained the age of superannuation on 31.08.2025. However, pursuant to the circular dated 16.06.2025 issued by the Government of Chhattisgarh, he continued to discharge his duties as Head Master till 30.04.2026 and is, therefore, entitled to remuneration for the period from 06.09.2025 to 30.04.2026. By referring to the communication dated 29.08.2025, learned counsel submits that respondent No.4/Block Education Officer, Dhamdha, District Durg had forwarded a proposal to respondent No.3/District Education Officer, District Durg for the petitioner's re-employment till the end of the academic session. She further refers to the attendance register to demonstrate that the petitioner had discharged his duties during the aforesaid period. She would

further submits that the petitioner also submitted representations dated 11.05.2026 and 18.05.2026 (Annexure P/8 Colly.). However, despite the lapse of considerable time, the said representations and the petitioner's claim have neither been considered nor decided by the competent authority, and no order has been passed thereon till date.

Learned State counsel submits that if the petitioner's claim/representations are still pending consideration, the same shall be considered and decided, after due verification of the fact that the petitioner had actually worked in the said school during the aforesaid period, strictly in accordance with law and the circular issued by the State Government, within the stipulated period.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents appended with the writ petition.

Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and taking into account the submission made by learned State counsel, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3/District Education Officer, District Durg to consider and decide the petitioner's representations dated 11.05.2026 and 18.05.2026 (Annexure P/8 Colly.), after due verification of the petitioner's claim, and pass an appropriate order, strictly in accordance with law and the circular issued by the

State Government, preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
