The petitioner has filed the present writ petition praying for the following reliefs:

“10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court be pleased to summon the record parting to the case of the petitioner from all the respondents by issuing a writ of certiorari and after perusal of record, may kindly be pleased to command the respondents by ordering them to permit the petitioner to continue his services in the state of Chhattisgarh by issuing a writ of mandamus.

10.2 That, the GAD (CG) may kindly be issued appropriate direction in the matter of petitioner to decide his transfer order in terms of no objection issued by state of MP as well as consent letter given by R/5 to the DOPT to retain the petitioner in the state of Chhattisgarh and thus all the hurdles in the way of GAD CG has come to an end and therefore this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to issue direction to it to decide the matter as soon as possible preferably within one month.

10.3 Cost of the petition be awarded to the petitioner against the respondents.

10.4 Any appropriate writ, direction or order may also kindly be passed which this Hon’ble Court deems fit and appropriate in the circumstances of the case in the interest of justice.”

Learned State counsel submits that pursuant to the order passed by Government of India DOPT dated 09.02.2026, State Government has passed an order on 12.05.2026 allocating the service of the petitioner in the State of C.G. Copy of the order is placed before this Court and handed over the same to the counsel for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that though the order has been handed over to him in Court itself, if such an order is passed by the State, nothing is remained for adjudication.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents.

Considering the submissions made by the counsel for the parties, the writ petition bearing WPS No. 3703 is disposed off in light of the order dated 12.05.2026 passed by the State Government.
