The instant petition has been preferred against the illegal, arbitrary and unreasonable action on the part of the respondent authorities by which the name of the petitioner has not been considered for promotion on the post of constable (MT) to Head Constable (MT) where the junior from the petitioner have already promoted vide order dated 06.12.2012 which is contrary to clause 5 SOP dated 20.10.1993.

Pursuant to the order of this Court dated 24.06.2026, an affidavit has been filed by the petitioner.

Heard on I.A. No. 01/2026, application for withdrawal of this petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this petition with liberty to file duly constituted petition.

Upon due consideration and for the reasons stated in the application, I.A. No. 01/2026 is allowed.

Accordingly, the instant petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for.
