By the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the respondent authorities for disbursal of GPF amount of Rs.5,44,737/- which is showing in account No. ED/66063 for the period from the year 1981 to 1991 when the petitioner had worked as an Upper Division Teacher at Tribal Development Department.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had worked as an Upper Division Teacher at Tribal Development Department and for the said period, he is seeking a direction towards the respondent authorities to disburse the GPF amount of Rs.5,44,737/- with respect to the account No. ED/66063.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent No.2/ Accountant General, Chhattisgarh, by referring the communication dated 22/09/2021 issued to the DFO, Katghora, District Korba submits that the GPF amount of Rs. 8,55,641/- against the petitioner’s account bearing No.CF/30901 has been authorized by the Accountant General and subsequently the same was released by the Department of Forest. As far as the relief sought by the petitioner in respect of amount of Rs.5,44,737/- is concerned, the petitioner is claiming the same when he was working as a teacher in the Tribal Development Department during the period from the year 1981 to 1991 for the same, the petitioner may approach the High Power Pension Redressal Committee.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents.

In view of the above submission made by learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to approach the High Power Pension Redressal Committee within a period of 30 days and in case the petitioner will approach the said Committee, the Committee shall consider the same within a period of 45 days from the date of approaching of the petitioner.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
